SoundsGoodMan Records has a VERY wide range of music!
Please make sure to check out as much of the music on here (SoundsGoodManRecords.com).
The SoundsGoodMan.com site is now redirected to here.
The music is all independent and original and ranges from rock to blues to semi classical to Native type flute to Tibetan type bells to meditation music to acoustic guitar, electric guitar, weird synthesizer, space music, some slightly silly music, kinda funk rock jazz, music you can’t put a name to, music that sounds like a soundtrack to a movie and some is close to dance music.
Instruments used in these songs include but are not limited to acoustic guitar, electric guitar, drums, hand drums, harmonica, synthesizers, violin, viola, cello, contrabass, electric bass, horns, precision bass, djembe, cajon, piano, synth guitar, slide guitar, autoharp, psaltry, shakers, various percussion and more!
You can just wander around, check the latest songs on the home page, go to the Bands section to choose particular bands and even find how you can get some of the album art on canvas for your wall!
Please check out all the various music, buy a song or two or put them in the playlist of wherever you stream music from if you do that. Doing so will help keep this going so please share the site with friends and on social media and know that you’re helping to support a fully Independent music effort and enjoy!
The SoundsGoodMan Records label only supports independent musicians and bands and is open for collaborations and can do soundtracks!
The first band to have a song released by SoundsGoodMan Records label was Moonlit Valley. What can be said about Moonlit Valley can apply to all the songs and bands that are or will be on this label. They will have a different sound and feel as they are brought into creation through inspiration from feelings, moods, images, events, dreams and any other part of life without any concern or focus on “marketability” or standard song structure or what is the musical flavor of the day.
Some of the music may work out to be closer to resembling what you may be familiar with musically, others may seem rather unfamiliar which is the same as the rest of our lives. Life is full of the familiar and the unfamiliar and if we stay open to it, there is much to be gained and often many more levels or layers of experience than is apparent at first glance. All of the songs may sound different than others, but in common they share and carry the same spirit of freedom and curiosity, experimentation and openness along with a willingness to look deeper and allow deeper feelings of what life offers us than what is often pushed on us from the mass media and standard society and culture.
The same goes for all of the songs and bands to be on the SoundsGoodMan Records label with the addition that other songs or bands may be laid back or have a very driving rhythm, they may have a groove or be atmospheric, some busy, some sparse. There are no limits.
Please feel free to visit the rest of SoundsGoodManRecords.com to see all of the music available (which will be added to regularly) and to sign up for the newsletter which is only once a month and easy to unsubscribe from if you choose.
You will also see a link to an art site where the album art from songs can be ordered, custom works can be done and some works are pictured there. The site is NebulaMoon.com and carries the same approach and view of art as the music does and that is it should come from the heart or be channeled through the artist or however it works without some cold calculated attempt to market to specific demographics and to keep things safe and familiar, as that, in my opinion, is not art and it’s not expression and it harms society.
So, starting today (18 September 2014) more songs, more info and the beginnings of the art site will begin!
UPDATE…
The art site has a few examples but also most all the album art you see on here can be purchased on canvas with or without the text of band and song name NebulaMoon.com
Please contact us through here with any ideas, questions, problems with the site or to talk of being a part of the music or art.
